The mother walks into the kitchen, and sits down next to her daughter, Nina.
Mom: Hi Nina, how was school today?
Nina: Like always, a lot of noise and boring classes.
Mom: I’ve been thinking about my birthday. I’m turning 40 this year!
Nina: I know! What do you want for your birthday?
Mom: That’s what I’ve been thinking about! I’d really like to do something special this year. Something I’ve never tried before. Like hang-gliding, that would be fun!
Nina is shocked
Nina: Are you crazy?! You can’t try hang-gliding!
Mom: Why not?
Nina: You could fall down and break your neck!!
Mom: No, I won’t! It’s thousands of people who have tried it before me!
Nina: But you’re my mom! You’re not supposed to fly around up in the air, …., acting like some kind of bird!
Nina’s mother begs her
Mom: Please Nina!! I really want to try it!
Nina: But…
Mom: But what?
Nina: Ok, you can try hang-gliding, if you promise me not to fall down and break anything!
Mom: I promise! Thank you Nina!
Nina: I’m sore it will be fun! Maybe I should try it too.
Mom: No! You’re far too young! You could get hurt!
Nina laughs!
