The title of the book is “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”. The book is written by Joanne Kathleen Rowling, who is a very famous British author. Rowling has written fiction since she was a child, and always wanted to be an author. Her parents loved reading, and their house in Chepstow was full of books. Rowling wrote in fact her first “book” at the age of six – a story about a rabbit called Rabbit!

This is the fifth book in the seven-book-series about the young wizard, Harry Potter, and his years on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry again finds himself alone in his room in “4 Privet Drive”, where he lives together with his aunt, uncle and cousin. He is used to these terrible summers here, but this summer the Dursleys treat him worse than ever. They do everything that they can to make his life as bad as possible.

And, if that wasn’t enough, Harry hasn’t heard anything from his friends, his Godfather or anybody else, through out the entire summer holiday. He gets very angry and confused, and when he finally meets his friends again, he yells at them and treats them really bad.

They tell him that they haven’t been allowed, by professor Dumbledore, to tell him anything, in fear of somebody else picking up the letters and getting information that they shouldn’t had. When he return to Hogwarts he experience big and small challenges that makes his life hard to handle. Fortunately he has his friends, who support and comforts him in these hard times. Or has he? His life is luckily filled with good experiences also, at least for a while. He falls in love with at Ravenclaw-girl and he gets his first kiss.

Towards the end of the school term Harry loses someone who stands very close to him. A person, who over the last two years, has been both a brother and a father figure to him. There is certain information that professor Dumbledore has kept hidden from Harry for over five years, information which he now shares with him. This information turns Harry’s entire life upside down…

My opinion:

I have read all of the books in the Harry Potter-series, that so far has been published, and I must say that I think this book, together with the fourth book, is the best. It’s so exiting and it is field with surprising twists and turns. This is a book you want be able to stop reading and I strongly recommend it. I think people of all ages will love it, and it is as much a book for the grandchild, as it is for the grandparent.
