I have chosen this book because it was recommended by most of my friends, they told me that it’s the most beautiful love story and the best book they ever read. Some of them have even read the book twice! So I had to go on and try, in matter of fact I liked the book very much.

I want to review this book because I think it’s a great opportunity to share what I think of the book. Maybe the book catch your attention, and maybe you want to read it after you have read this review, or not? Reading a review is also a great opportunity to understand and know what others think of the book.

Twilight is about the lion falling in love with the lamb, the difficulties and obstacles in it, and about love with first sight which should not be underestimated.

In the book we meet the difference between two worlds, the regular American high-school girl and the sophisticated clan of vampires.

Twilight is the first book in the Twilight-saga, the next books in the series is called New moon, Eclipse and Breaking dawn. Stephenie Meyer began to write Twilight in 2003 based on a dram she had. “I woke up from a very vivid dream. In my dream, two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods. One of these people was just your average girl. The other person was fantastically beautiful, sparkly, and a vampire. They were discussing the difficulties inherent in the facts that A) they were falling in love with each other while B) the vampire was particularly attracted to the scent of her blood, and was having a difficult time restraining himself from killing her immediately.” This is how she describes her dream, the last thing she wanted was to lose the dream so she began to write at once. And it all ended with four books that became the international number one bestseller. All of the four books came out between 2005 and 2008.

I would say that there are two main persons in the book, Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen, but of course there are persons that are very important I the story as well, like for example the whole Cullen family, Charlie and Jacob.

17 year old Isabella Swan, or just Bella as she preferred, decided to move to her father, Charlie Swan in Forks, a little town in Washington at the most rainy place you can find in USA. She couldn’t stand the place, but she did it for her mother. Bella could see that she was unhappy while her new husband Phil was out traveling when she stayed home with Bella. So she ended up living in Forks, something she would never regret. It is here she meets the love of her life, Edward Cullen.

Bella knew that the first day of school she would be the outcast, but she was completely wrong. She fitted at once, and soon realized who the real outcasts were. The Cullen family who had occupied the corner of the canteen. It was impossible not to notice them, they were absolutely stunning, their white pale skin, their dark eyes and unusual, mysterious appearance. There was especially one that caught her eye, the boy who sat alone, Edward Cullen.

Bella was convinced that he totally hated her and his hostility made it even worse. Every time they met he was always strange and tried to avoid her. Especially in biology, when they sat together. He pushed his chair as far away from her as he could.

- Until he saved her from a near death experience, there had to be something about them because Edward was standing on the other side of the parking lot when the truck almost hit her. It was impossible for him to reach to the truck that fast! From that day, she understood that there was something special and inhuman with him, and maybe the whole family as well. She started to investigate, and she quickly found out that there was something strange about the Cullens. She discovered the cold deadly secret about who they really were. They were vampires! And Bella was endless in love with the youngest one, Edward.

As the weeks passed by, they got into a more intimate relationship, where there was a deadly barrier between them both. And their relationship was more unusual than others, because they always had to beware of their lust, especially Edward who has a hard time controlling his blood lust when he was around Bella. Being in a relationship with him sets Bella’s life in danger very often, the worst thing that happened to her was being hunted by another vampire tribe. But Bella would rather be dead than be apart from Edward, so she risked her life to stay with him.

I loved this book, it’s hard to put it away when you first started, and when you finally have put it away, you can’t wait to begin read it again. When I went to school I couldn’t wait to come home again and read. It’s definitely a series I will continue to read.

I think that writing about love between two completely different worlds make it more exiting to read because you never know how it will end, if he can’t control his thirst or if he can’t stay with her anymore and have to leave because he can’t he control his thirst. It’s predictable that something is going to happen, just that you don’t know when or how.

I like this book because the text isn’t hard to understand, I can see it’s meant for teenagers. I give the book a little minus because it’s very slow in the beginning, but not slow enough to don’t bother to read it. I like the way Stephenie Meyer write, every little thing counts and she describes it very detailed, every scent, sound and look. In this way can the reader make pictures in the head the exactly way Meyers planned it to be.

Twilight is a book I recommend other teenagers, especially girls. Even though you hardly ever read, will this book grab your attention immediately. I would say it’s meant for girls between 13 and 17. Twilight is written by Stephenie Meyers, she graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English literature. She lives in Arizona with her three sons and husband. Twilight is her debut novel in the Twilight-saga. The book is given out by atom books.
